Preparation

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  • Place the saltine crackers in a large zip-top bag and pour the spicy oil mixture over them, ensuring they are generously coated.
  • Seal the bag tightly and shake it well to coat all crackers evenly.
  • Lay the bag flat in a single layer and refrigerate for at least 12 hours, flipping occasionally.
  • Serve directly from the bag or transfer to a bowl once marinated.

Notes

For a stronger flavor, increase hot sauce or red pepper flakes. Add grated Parmesan cheese for an enriched taste.
