  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine)
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves

Dressing and seasoning

  • 2 tbsp pesto (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil Use high-quality for better flavor.
  • 1/2 tbsp balsamic glaze (optional) Adds a tangy finish.
  • Salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Slice avocado and halve cherry tomatoes. Combine with mozzarella balls and fresh basil in a large bowl.
  • Add pesto and olive oil to the bowl and gently toss until everything is evenly coated.
  • Season with salt and cracked black pepper. Drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired.
  • Plate immediately or chill for 10–15 minutes. Serve on its own or with crusty bread.

Notes

To elevate your salad further, consider using high-quality olive oil and homemade pesto. Experiment with different heirloom tomatoes or add nuts for crunch.
