For the bang bang sauce

  • 1/4 cup mayo Transforms into a delicious sauce when mixed with other ingredients.
  • 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce The star of the show, sweet, tangy, and slightly spicy.
  • 1 tbsp sriracha Adjust to heat level; adds a perfect kick.
  • 1 tbsp honey Ties the flavors together beautifully.
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar or lime juice Adds acidity to balance the sweetness.

Preparation

  • Pat salmon dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear salmon skin-side down for 4–5 minutes, flip, and cook for another 3–4 minutes.

Making the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, whisk together mayo, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and vinegar until smooth.

Serving

  • Spoon or drizzle the bang bang sauce all over the hot salmon.
  • Top with chopped green onion and cilantro. Serve with rice, noodles, or roasted veggies.
