Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter with the granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Mixing

  • Gradually sift the all-purpose flour and baking powder into the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
  • Fold in the butterscotch chips until evenly distributed.

Baking

  • Transfer the batter to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until edges are golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Allow cooling in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes
