Ingredients
  

Pastry and Filling

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, gently thawed Unlocks airy layers.
  • 1 cup cooked lobster meat Preferably succulent and fresh.
  • 3/4 cup shredded mozzarella or gruyère cheese Imparts rich flavor.
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream Adds luxurious creaminess.
  • 1 large egg Reserved for egg wash.
  • 1 tablespoon butter For sautéing.
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning.
  • chopped chives For garnish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cut the puff pastry into circles that fit into mini tart pans or a muffin tin.
  • Brush the edges of the pastry with an egg wash.

Filling

  • Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir in the heavy cream and cheese, seasoning lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Cook until the mixture thickens and becomes creamy.

Assembly

  • Spoon the cheese filling into each pastry shell.
  • Add a chunk of lobster or shrimp on top of each filling.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with freshly chopped chives before serving.

Notes

For optimal results, ensure puff pastry is properly thawed. Experiment with cheeses and consider adding spices for flavor variations. Serve with a salad or drinks.
