  • 1 can (14 oz) artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 2 cups fresh spinach (or 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained) Fresh spinach preferred for flavor.
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Ensure it is creamy for easy mixing.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Adds richness to the dish.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese For a gooey texture.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder For aromatic flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes Optional for a hint of heat.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the chopped artichoke hearts, fresh or thawed spinach, softened cream cheese, sour cream, shredded mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until everything is well mixed.
  • Spread the mixture evenly into a greased 8x8 inch baking dish.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
  • Serve warm with tortilla chips or fresh veggies for dipping.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding grated Parmesan cheese before baking. You can also substitute Greek yogurt for the sour cream and use low-fat cream cheese for a healthier version.
