Ingredients
  

Fritter Mixture

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted Forms the base of the fritters, lending a fluffy texture.
  • 2 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and diced Adds a tart flavor that complements sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup sugar (white or brown) Enhances overall flavor.
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon Gives a warm, inviting aroma.

Glaze (optional)

  • 1 cup powdered sugar For making the glaze.
  • 2 tbsp milk Can be substituted with almond milk for a vegan option.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, mix the sifted flour, sugar, and ground cinnamon to create a fragrant base.
  • Fold in the diced apples until well coated with the mixture.
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to around 350°F (175°C).

Cooking

  • Drop spoonfuls of the apple mixture into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove the fritters and drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  • Drizzle with glaze made from powdered sugar and milk, if desired.

Notes

Serve warm as a breakfast treat or sweet addition to brunch. Excellent with tea or coffee.
