Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and juicy. Remove and set aside.
  • Add mussels to the skillet with a splash of water. Cover and steam for about 4 minutes until they open.
  • Toss in minced garlic and stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until the mixture is melty and smooth.
  • Add spinach and let it wilt.
  • Return the cooked shrimp and mussels to the sauce. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with crusty bread.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the shrimp in a little lemon juice and garlic for 30 minutes before cooking. If you prefer a thicker sauce, adjust the amount of cream and cheese to achieve your desired consistency.
