  • 2 cups milk Creamy and luscious, creating the perfect sauce base.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream Adds an extra layer of decadence and creaminess.
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning A classic seasoning blend that brings out the best in seafood.

  • 1 tube refrigerated biscuit dough (or homemade) Flaky, tender biscuits that form a golden topping.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a skillet, heat olive oil. Sauté onions, celery, carrots, and garlic until tender.
  • Add shrimp and cook until just pink.

Making the Sauce

  • Add butter to the skillet, then whisk in flour to make a roux. Slowly add milk and cream, stirring until thickened.
  • Stir in Old Bay, salt, pepper, and cheddar.

Combining Ingredients

  • Add shrimp and veggie mix into the sauce and stir to combine.
  • Transfer this scrumptious mixture to a greased baking dish.

Baking

  • Cut biscuit dough into quarters and place evenly on top of the filling.
  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25–30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown and filling is bubbling.
  • Garnish with chives or parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

For added flavor, you can experiment with different spices or substitute the shrimp with other seafood. This dish can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days and reheated in the oven.
