Dressing Ingredients

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the crumbled ramen noodles, sliced almonds, and sunflower seeds on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and fragrant, stirring halfway through. Set aside to cool.
  • In a small bowl, combine olive oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, honey (or sugar), sesame oil, grated ginger, and sesame seeds. Whisk together until smooth to create the dressing.
  • In a large bowl, mix together shredded green and purple cabbage, carrots, sliced green onions, and cilantro.

Assembly

  • Gently fold in the toasted ramen noodles, sliced almonds, and sunflower seeds to the salad bowl.
  • Drizzle the prepared dressing over the salad and toss gently until everything is well-coated.

Serving

  • Serve immediately for the best crunch. If desired, let the salad sit for 10-15 minutes before serving to meld the flavors.

Notes

For variations, try mixing different types of greens or adding grilled chicken, shrimp, or tofu. If you want extra crunch, add chow mein noodles or crispy wonton strips just before serving.
