  • 2 tbsp melted butter Optional for enriching breadcrumbs.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped shrimp, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix until smooth.
  • Spoon the creamy mixture into each halved jalapeño.
  • If using, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over stuffed jalapeños.

Cooking

  • Bake the jalapeños in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until tender and golden.
  • Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions.

Notes

For less heat, deseed jalapeños completely. Other fillings can include sausage or blackened chicken. Make ahead by preparing the stuffed jalapeños a day in advance.
