  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Juicy and tender when baked.
  • 1 cup long-grain rice, uncooked Serves as a base that absorbs flavors.
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz) Adds rich flavor.
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz) Creates a velvety sauce.
  • 1.5 cups water or chicken broth Ensures the rice cooks properly.
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix Enhances the flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper For seasoning.
  • to taste fresh parsley or chives, chopped Optional garnish.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In the baking dish, combine rice, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, and water or chicken broth. Stir until well mixed.
  • Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper and place on top of the rice mixture.
  • Sprinkle dry onion soup mix over the chicken and rice mixture.
  • Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes without opening the oven.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven, uncover, and garnish with parsley or chives if desired.
  • Serve hot and enjoy the smiles from your family and friends.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken in olive oil, garlic, and herbs beforehand. You can use rotisserie chicken to cut prep time.
