Cooking the Pasta

  • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Reserve it for later use.

Sautéing the Chicken

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet.
  • Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until they are golden and fully cooked.
  • Once done, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Preparing the Sauce

  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden.
  • Next, pour in the chicken broth, heavy cream, grated Parmesan, Dijon mustard, sweet paprika, and cayenne pepper if using.
  • Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy.

Combining Ingredients

  • Slice the cooked chicken into strips and return it to the skillet, mixing everything thoroughly.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing it with the sauce until well coated.
  • Serve immediately and garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired.

Notes

To elevate the flavors, consider marinating the chicken in olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper before cooking. Add fresh herbs for aroma. For crunch, top with toasted pine nuts or walnuts before serving.
