Preparation

  • Cut the thawed puff pastry into squares and press them gently into muffin tin cups or place on a lined baking sheet.
  • Brush the edges lightly with egg wash to achieve a golden-brown finish.

Mixing the Filling

  • In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until creamy and aromatic.

Assembly

  • Spoon a generous amount of the creamy cheese mixture onto each pastry square and place one shrimp on top.

Baking

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the pastry bites for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
  • Once baked, sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, consider sautéing the shrimp in olive oil before adding. Add red pepper flakes for a kick. You can prepare the filling in advance and assemble just before baking.
