  • 6 large large eggs, hard-boiled to perfection Use fresh eggs for the best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened Ensure the cream cheese is softened to prevent lumps.
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise Adds extra richness.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard For a flavorful zing.
  • 2 tablespoons pickled jalapeños, finely chopped For a spicy kick.
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder To enhance the aroma.

  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese For a delightful melty layer.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by placing the eggs in a saucepan, covering them with water. Bring it to a roaring boil, then cover the pot and remove it from the heat. Let the eggs sit, undisturbed, for 12 to 15 minutes.
  • Transfer the eggs to an ice bath, allowing them to cool completely.
  • After cooling, peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Gently remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl.
  • Mash the yolks with the cream cheese until smooth and creamy, then add in the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Blend until all ingredients are well combined.

Assembly

  • Using a spoon or a piping bag, fill each egg white half with the yolk mixture.
  • Generously sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of each filled egg.
  • Garnish with fresh green onions before serving.

Notes

These deviled eggs make an excellent appetizer. They can be served immediately or refrigerated until ready to serve. For lighter versions, substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise.
