Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Shape the mixture into thick, juicy patties.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the patties in the skillet, searing each side for about 4–5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  • In the same pan, toss in the sliced onions, green and yellow bell peppers, and minced garlic. Sauté until the vegetables soften and caramelize.
  • Pour in the beef broth and soy sauce, enhancing the savory depth of the dish. Stir in the cornstarch slurry if desired and let everything simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Add the seared patties back into the skillet. Spoon the sauce and veggies over the patties and simmer for an additional 2–3 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For variations, consider using different herbs or spices, or substitute ground turkey or plant-based meat alternatives. Leftover patties can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
