Preparation

  • Grate the potatoes and onion using a box grater or food processor. Transfer them to a clean kitchen towel, gather and twist to squeeze out excess moisture.

Make the Batter

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the drained grated potatoes and onion. Add the egg, flour, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined, adjusting flour for desired thickness.

Fry the Pancakes

  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture into the skillet, flattening them slightly into pancakes. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove pancakes and drain them on paper towels.

Serve

  • Serve hot, with sour cream, applesauce, or fresh herbs. Enjoy your meal!
