For the crust

  • 1.5 cups chocolate cookie crumbs Buttery and crisp for a delicious base.
  • 0.25 cups melted butter For a rich, moist crust.

For the raspberry layer

  • 2 cups fresh raspberries Bursts with flavor and color.
  • 0.25 cups sugar To enhance the raspberries' natural sweetness.

For the cream cheese layer

  • 2 cups softened cream cheese For a luxurious mouthfeel.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar For sweetness and balance.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Stir until evenly coated.
  • Press the mixture into the bottom of individual serving glasses to form a solid crust.
  • In another bowl, mix the fresh raspberries with 1/4 cup of sugar and set aside for 10 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add granulated sugar until well blended.

Assembly

  • Layer the cream cheese mixture over the chocolate cookie crust in the serving glasses.
  • Add the macerated raspberry mixture on top of the cream cheese layer.
  • Repeat the layers of cream cheese and raspberry mixtures until the glasses are filled.
  • Refrigerate the trifles for at least two hours before serving.

Notes

For best results, use softened cream cheese for a smooth consistency, allow the raspberries to macerate, and refrigerate for flavor development. Can be prepared a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
