  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar Adds sweetness that complements the flavors.
  • 1/2 tsp salt Balances sweetness and enhances flavors.
  • 3/4 cup warm milk (110°F / 43°C) Infuses the dough with moisture.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted Adds richness and a tender crumb.
  • 1 large egg Provides structure and helps bind the ingredients.

Filling

  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup Nutella, softened This creamy chocolate-hazelnut spread gives the rolls their decadent filling.
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen raspberries Add a tangy twist.
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (optional) Helps absorb excess moisture from juicy berries.

Glaze

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar For glaze, adds sweetness.
  • 1–2 tbsp milk Used to create the right consistency for glazing.
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract Enhances the sweetness of the glaze.

Instructions

Make the Dough

  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast until well combined.
  • Add the warm milk, melted butter, and egg to the dry ingredients.
  • Mix until everything comes together, then knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and set it in a warm spot to rise until doubled in size, about 1 to 1.5 hours.

Roll It Out

  • Once risen, gently punch the dough down to release air bubbles.
  • Lightly flour your surface and roll the dough into a rectangle approximately 12×16 inches.

Add the Filling

  • Spread the Nutella evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  • Sprinkle the raspberries over the Nutella; toss them lightly in cornstarch if very juicy.

Roll & Slice

  • From one edge, roll the dough into a log shape.
  • Slice the log into 9–12 equal pieces and arrange them in a greased baking dish.

Second Rise

  • Cover rolls with a kitchen towel and let rise for 30–45 minutes until puffed.

Bake

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the rolls for 25–30 minutes until golden.

Glaze (Optional)

  • Whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for a smooth glaze and drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

Ensure ingredients are at room temperature for better incorporation. Knead dough thoroughly and avoid skipping the second rise for best texture.
