Preparation

  • In a skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat, swirling it around as it begins to foam.
  • Add the sliced peaches to the skillet, spreading them out evenly and sautéing for about 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.

Cooking

  • Sprinkle the brown sugar and, if using, the cinnamon over the peaches. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, gently stirring until the sugar has melted and the peaches are caramelized.
  • Remove from heat and serve warm.

Notes

Serve warm as a dessert or topping for pancakes, waffles, or ice cream. Adjust sweetness by adding more brown sugar while cooking.
