Instructions
 

Cooking Pasta

  • Boil water in a large pot, adding a generous amount of salt to enhance the pasta's flavor.
  • Cook spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Once done, drain and set aside.

Cooking Steak

  • Season the steaks with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat and sear the steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for a perfect medium-rare finish.
  • In the last minute of cooking, toss in butter, smashed garlic, and thyme sprigs.
  • Let the steaks rest for a few minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Making the Sauce

  • In the same pan where you cooked the steaks, add butter and sliced mushrooms.
  • Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until they soften and release their flavors.
  • Sprinkle in garlic powder, along with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Stir in beef broth and heavy cream, letting the sauce simmer for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  • Finish by garnishing with fresh parsley.

Serving

  • Plate the cooked spaghetti on individual dishes, then place the rested steaks on top.
  • Generously pour the creamy mushroom sauce over both the steak and pasta, and serve immediately.
