For the Vegetable Rice

  • 2 cups cooked white rice (preferably day-old) Absorbs flavors well.
  • 1/2 cup corn kernels Adds sweetness and color.
  • 1/4 cup diced carrots Enhances the veggie mix.
  • 1 tbsp butter or oil For sautéing vegetables.
  • 1–2 tbsp soy sauce Flavor enhancer.

Instructions
 

Preparation of Chicken Wings

  • Pat the chicken wings dry to ensure they crisp up nicely.
  • Toss with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Baking Wings

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange wings on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown.

Making the Sweet Glaze

  • Combine honey, ketchup, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and optional vinegar in a saucepan.
  • Simmer over medium heat for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.

Coating the Wings

  • Remove wings from the oven and coat them with the sweet glaze.
  • Return wings to oven and bake for an additional 5–8 minutes.

Preparing Vegetable Rice

  • In a skillet, heat butter or oil over medium heat.
  • Sauté diced carrots and corn until tender.
  • Stir in cooked rice and soy sauce, mixing until heated through.

Notes

For best results, dry chicken wings thoroughly and consider marinating for deeper flavor. Use day-old rice for better texture, and feel free to add other vegetables to the rice for variety.
